Janice Hughey Huber

Janice Hughey Huber, 74, of Sprankle Mills, died early Saturday, May 31, 2025 at her home following a sudden illness.

Born in Brookville on June 9, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Lindy Davis and Barbara Hughes Davis.

She was a graduate of Brookville High School and continued her education at Kittanning Beauty School.

On September 27, 1970 in McConnellsville she married Donald Hughey. He preceded her in death on November 19, 2021. She then married John Huber on July 3, 2022. He survives.

Prior to retirement she worked in various salons in the area as a Cosmetologist.

She was a member of Summerville Church of Christ.

Her pastimes included sewing, shopping, cooking, baking, tending her plants and flowers, racing and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by her sons, Jamie (Brandi) Hughey and Chad (Angie) Hughey; her daughters, Shelby (Clyde) Geer and Kala (Jack) Delp; her 14 grandchildren; her 2 great grandchildren; her sister, Rita (DuWayne) Shaffer; as well as 5 step children and 8 step grandchildren.

In addition to father and 1st husband she was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Davis.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. from 2-4PM & 6-8PM.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11AM at Summerville Church of Christ, 12514 Harrison St. Summerville, PA. with Mike Smith and John Kerr, officiating.

Graveside services will follow at Cedarview Cemetery, Strattanville, Clarion County.
