Joanne Skibinski

Joanne L. Skibinski, 85, of Marienville died Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Shippenville Healthcare following a decline in her health.

Born on March 30, 1939 in Warren, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Helen Steinhauser Taft.

She was a graduate of East Forest High School and continued her education at Clarion State College earning her B.S. in Nursing.

On June 9, 1961 she married Patrick Skibinski. Mr. Skibinski preceded his wife in death on August 5, 2024. 

Prior to her retirement in 1996 she was employed by East Forest School as the School Nurse.

She was a member of Marienville Community Methodist Church.

Those surviving include her son, Eric (Connie) Skibinski; her daughter, Leslie Skibinski; her grandchildren, Ashlee (Blake) Skibinski, Logan Skibinski, Carlee Erosenko, and Kelsi Skibinski; and great grandchildren, Olivia, Bryson and Brogan; as well as her sisters, Jane Coles and Beverly Vannort.

Her parents and husband preceded her in death.

Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St., Marienville has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Skibinski.

In accordance with her wishes there will be no public services held.

Interment will be in North Forest Cemetery, Jenks TWP, Forest County.
