John G. Hickox

John G. Hickox, 72, of Brookville died Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Penn Highlands Dubois.

Born in Punxsutawney on April 21, 1952, he was the son of the late John and Betty Clark Hickox.

He was a graduate of Jeff Tech and was a life member of the Brookville Eagles.

On May 18, 1982 in Punxsutawney he married the former Raelene M. Kellert. She survives.

Prior to his retirement in 2019 he worked in maintenance and as Sewer Commissioner for Brookville Borough.

He enjoyed bowling, hunting, spending time working in his yard and being outdoors.

Those surviving in addition to his wife, Raelene ( Joey Lambert); are his son John ;his daughter, Stephanie (Josh) Anthony; his sister in laws, Karen (Ken) Bailey, Paula Charles and Tina (Gary) Covatch; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers in laws, Rich Charles and Timmy Kellert.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. has been entrusted with the  final arrangements for Mr. Hickox.
