John Semanco, 78, of New Bethlehem, formerly of Brookville went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Forbes Hospital following an illness.
Born on December 4, 1946, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late George and Jenny Filo Semanco and one of ten siblings.
He was a 1964 graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School and was of protestant faith.
He proudly and honorably served his country with the U.S. Army.
In 1969 he married the former Shirley Martz. She survives.
Prior to retirement he was employed for many years as a Fuel Truck Driver and later as a manager of an oil company in Corsica that had many different names over the years.
He loved Golden Oldies Music, being in the outdoors, sporting events and loved his family very much.
John was a proud yet humble man that will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Those surviving in addition to his wife, Shirley are his children, Trisa (Brett) Ayers, Johnathan (Kelly) Semanco and Scott (Julie) Semanco; his grandchildren, Ryan, Keirra, Leah, Zachary, Rylee and Ian.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two of his brothers.
His family will receive friends on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 1PM at the Brookville Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 59 Stone Road, Brookville, PA. A funeral service will follow with Pastor J. Ray Baker, officiating.
Interment will be at Corsica Independent Church Cemetery, Corsica, Jefferson County.
