Joseph Greeley Obituary

Joseph D. "Joe" Greeley, 73, of Brookville, died Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at his home following an illness.

Born on August 20, 1951, in Brookville, he was the son of the late Harry and Bernice Alford Greeley.

He was a graduate of Brookville Area High School, and he was a member of the Brookville Eagles. On June 18, 1971, in Sigel, he married the love of his life, Vicki Ishman. They enjoyed 53 years of blissful marriage. She survives.

Prior to his retirement in June of 2015, he had been employed as a Bulldozer Operator. In his youth he enjoyed racing cars on local dirt tracks. He also liked to bow hunt and on occasion play his luck at the casino. He loved working with his hands, and when he wasn't doing something like changing his own oil, or building his own cabinets, he was lending a hand to anyone in the family that needed it. Time spent with family was paramount above all else to him. In retirement, one of his greatest joys was taking their dog Remi outside for daily walks and throwing a ball around. Those surviving in addition to his wife, Vicki are his son, Jeffrey Greeley; his daughter, Sheri Greeley; his brothers, Thomas (Becky) Greeley, Lee (Mary) Greeley and Paul (Sharon) Greeley; and his sisters, Wanda (Jerry) Smith and Colleen (Ray) Reddinger; along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dan Greeley; and his sisters, Winnie Greeley and Connie Snyder.
