Joyce A. Kelly, 69, of South Main St., Punxsutawney, passed away at her home late Sunday, April 12, 2026.
Born October 9, 1956, in Lewistown, PA., she was the daughter of the late John and Pearl Harshbarger Boozel.
Joyce was raised in Vineyard, where she grew up surrounded by family. She graduated from Mount Union Area High School in 1974.
She occasionally attended church and church events with a dear friend and was of the Protestant faith.
On December 14, 1994, in Punxsutawney, she married Joseph Kelly. Their marriage was filled with love, support, and many magic tricks. He preceded her in death on August 20, 2015.
Joyce enjoyed tending to the flowers in her yard, and her large, beautiful rhododendron bush was a true testament to her care. She also had a talent for sewing, which brought her great joy. She especially loved caring for her dogs and the many other animals she shared with Joe throughout their life together.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a laborer at Production Abrasive. In her younger years, she also worked at Scotty's Sewing Factory and Kline's Market, both of which she truly enjoyed.
Her survivors include her sons, Roger (Stacy) Boozel, Adam (Dana) Boozel and Eric (Julie) Boozel; her grandchildren, Jonathan (Gianna Aumiller) Boozel, Jessica Boozel, Kelsey (Lucas) Wingert and Bryson Boozel; her brothers, Lynn (Rhonda) Boozel, Dave (Carolyn) Boozel and Greg (Missy Lamberson) Boozel; as well as her sisters, Nancy Kauffman and Cheryl Spickler and extended family and friends.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. had the honor of assisting her family with her final arrangements.
There be no services at this time, but a graveside service will be planned and held at a later date.
