Joyce D. Smith

Joyce D. Smith, 60, of Allentown, died Tuesday morning, May 24, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown.

Born at her family home in Summerville on October 1, 1961, she was the daughter of Dean and Pauline Kurtz Smith.

She was a graduate of Brookville High School and had worked as a waitress in the past.

Joyce enjoyed visits home to Summerville where she spent time with her family visiting, sitting around the campfire or playing a game of UNO. She loved her cats and had many over the years.

Those surviving are her father, Dean; her brothers, Paul (Linda) Smith and Phil (Dana) Smith; her sister, Robin Cale; her long time companion, John Zbaudin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, Pauline, she was preceded in death by her brother, Pat Smith and an infant sister.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 6-8PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 at 11AM at the funeral home with Mike Smith, from the Summerville Church of Christ.
