Judith Wohnsiedler Obituary

Judith B. Wohnsiedler, 75, of Brookville passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born on June 24, 1950 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of Thomas and Priscilla Smoker Bailey.

She graduated from Chief Logan High School, earned a Bachelor's in Social Work from Lock Haven College, and received a Master's in Health Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

On January 31, 1976 at Little Valley Presbyterian Church in Vira, PA., she married Bruce C. Wohnsiedler. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2010.

Much of her life she spent working as a nursing home administrator at various nursing homes, locally at McKinley Health Center and Laurelbrooke Landing. At the time of her death, she was employed by Servepro in marketing.

She was a member of Brookville Presbyterian Church where she was a church elder, liturgist, participated in Bible Study and a sponsor for confirmation classes.

Her passions were rescuing cats, gardening and volunteering. Judie was on the board for Jefferson County Agency on Aging, an active volunteer with Brookville Food Bank Backpack Program, Cadillac Museum, the Clarion Kiwanis, Brookville FOE, and especially enjoyed Bunny Hopping at the area nursing homes and throughout the community.

Her survivors include her son, Thomas B. Wohnsiedler; her stepson, Jeff Wohnsiedler; her brother, Michael (Jane) Bailey; her sister, Susan (Mike) Marrone; and her nephew, Patrick Wasilko who lived with her.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Anita Wasilko.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville was honored to be entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Wohnsiedler.

A ”Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.

Her family suggests memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Brookville Food Bank, 142 Allegheny Blvd., Brookville, PA. 15864.
