Kenneth G. Colarte

Kenneth “Ken” Colarte, 35, of Marienville died Sunday, June 22, 2025.

Born on April 12, 1990 in Olongapo City, Philippines, he was the son of Florencia Colarte Madison. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2025.

He was a 2009 graduate of PA Cyber School and continued his education at Clarion University obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Political Science.

Currently he was employed by Tempus as a direct caregiver.

Ken was of Christian faith.

He was always making others laugh, enjoyed playing guitar, being outdoors in nature, spending time with his family, helping others, playing video games, watching movies and was very TECH savvy.

His survivors include his daughter, Madelyn Colarte; his sister, Flora Jean (Dylan) Smith; his nephew and niece; River and Milah Smith; his step father, Miles (Jody) Madison; his former wife, Caitlyn McKittrick Colarte; a child he thought of as his own; Ava Kirkwood; as well as his former in laws, Douglas and Kelly Anderson.

Those preceding him in death in addition to his mother were his maternal grandparents, Felix and Andresa Colarte.

His family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St., Marienville, PA. from 5-8PM and from 10-11AM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

A funeral service will follow at 11AM, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the funeral home with the pastors Ben Maxwell and Andrew Tygert, officiating.

In lieu of flowers his family suggests memorial contributions be sent to N/W Bank, 301 2nd Ave., Warren, PA. 16365 in care of Flora Jean Smith (in Memo Line please write Madelyn).
