Kenneth E. Lucas

Kenneth “Ken” Lucas, 67 of Brookville passed away at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital following an illness on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 with his loving wife, two sisters and niece by his side.

Born on September 9, 1955 in Brookville, he was the eldest son of the late Robert and Kathryn Spare Lucas.

On August 14, 1980 in Brookville he married the former Gina Deemer. She survives.

Prior to his retirement he had been employed for 38 years at Pinecrest Country Club and he was a 43 year member of the Brookville Eagles.

His pastimes included playing his telecaster guitar, Country music, building various wood projects and classic cars. He LOVED a home cooked meals and the many sweets his family and friends made him. He was shy about having his picture taken but loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Gina, he is survived by his two sisters, Pat (James) Clark and Donna Lucas; his nephews, Jesse and Wyatt Lucas, Logan and Kilee Furl, Tim Mineweaver and Mike Clark; his nieces, Kimberly (Shawn) Furl and Melissa (Mike) Yaremko; his great nephews, Braden and Nickolas Yaremko and Easton Clark; great niece, Mikayla Yaremko and many cousins, extended family and friends.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Lucas. 

There will be a “Celebration of Life” to be announced and held at a later date.
