Lewis Basinger Jr.

Lewis L. Basinger, Jr., 44, of Dubois died Monday, December 20, 2021 at Penn Highlands Dubois.

Born June 15, 1977 in Punxsutawney, he was the son of the late Julia Deemer Basinger and Lewis L. Basinger, Sr. His father survives.

He was a graduate of Jeff Tech and as a youth attended Brookville Church of God.

Jr. was an avid model car and model railroad builder. He also enjoyed rebuilding small engines and bicycles, as well as collecting matchbox cars and bartering.

Those surviving in addition to his father are his longtime companion, Kelly; and stepson, Cole; and step uncle, David Deemer.

His mother, his biological parents and 2 infant sisters preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at Brookville Alliance Church at a later date.

Graveside service and interment will be in Center Hill Cemetery, Knoxdale, Jefferson County with his father, Lewis L. Basinger, Sr. officiating the service.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, Pa. was entrusted with final arrangements for Mr. Basinger.
