Linda L. Bailey, 78, formerly of Brockway, died Monday, July 29, 2024 while at Penn Highlands Dubois.
Born on March 11, 1946 in Brookville, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bessie Adams McGuire.
She was a graduate of Redbank High School.
On August 1, 1964 in New Bethlehem, she married Malcolm Bailey, Jr. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2019.
In the past she had been employed by the shirt factory in Hawthorn.
She was a member of Oak Ridge Methodist Church, Warsaw Sportsmen’s Club, as well as Brookville Eagles and Firemen’s Club.
Her pastimes included crafting, playing Bingo and trips to Salamanca.
Those surviving are her sons, Terry (Suellen) Bailey, Michael (Lisa) Bailey and Marc (Joey) Bailey; her daughters, Jodie (Jim) Bloom and Brandi (Wayne) McConnaughey; her grandchildren, Brandon, Keshia, Joshua, Levi, Terry “Boomer”, Austin, Grace, Kayla, Todd, Amy, Ryan, Hunter, Johnnny, Kayla, Bailey, Alexa, Cassie, Bri and Kendra, her sisters, Deborah Spangler and Marlene Cole; as well as numerous great grandchildren.
Those preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband are her brother, Claire; her sisters, Deloras, Molly and Joanne; and her granddaughter, Angel.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 12-2PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.
A funeral service will follow at 2PM at the funeral home with Rev. Carol Brown, Oak Ridge Methodist Church, officiating.
Her family suggests memorial contributions be made in Linda’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
