Lorraine L. Neilson

Lorraine L. Neilson, 80, of Brookville, died on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at her daughter's home in Punxsutawney.

Born November 16, 1939 in Astoria Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Blanche (Banks) Montanaro.

Mrs. Neilson graduated from Queen's Vocational School.  She worked for the housekeeping department at Stony Brook University. 

She was married to Thomas Neilson; he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Neilson loved her family, old movies, and all animals.  

She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Mendus of Punxsutawney and Laurie Laursen and her husband, John, of Brookville; two sisters, Evelyn Cooper of Long Island, NY and Vivian Connor of Pollock Pines, CA; one grandson, Dustin Mendus of Brooklyn, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.   

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Neilson is preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Marie Neilson; two brothers, Richard and Joseph Montanaro; and two sisters, Margie Montanaro and Dorothy Baker.
