Mabel E. Miller

Mabel E. Miller, 84, formerly of Fairmont City died Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center following a period of declining health.

Born September 21, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Deloe and Lucille Hopper.

She was a graduate of Dayton High School and was a member of Pleasant Hill Bible Church.

On September 22, 1956 she married Clair D. Miller. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2020.

Prior to her retirement she worked for Clarion County Area Agency on Aging.

She enjoyed baking pies, hunting, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Those surviving are her son, Tim (Angela) Miller; her sister, Donna J. Ishman; her grandchildren, Tim Heckman, Penny Detrie, Holly Jo Look, Kyle and Ryan Miller; and 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, David Miller; her daughter, Linda Markle; and her sister, Patricia Grothpietz.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 1-3PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. Funeral services will follow at 3PM at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Shannondale Union Cemetery, Jefferson County.
