Marian M. Reed 82, of Brookville, went to be with the Lord early Saturday, April 16, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.
Born on August 21, 1939 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Violet Rote Bulson.
On October 22, 1957 in Buffalo, NY she married George W. Reed, Jr. He survives.
Prior to her retirement in 2005 she had been employed in the past by both Brookville Glove Factory and Jefferson Manor.
She was a former member of the Brookville Presbyterian Church and currently attended Brookville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Her favored pastimes included walking, baking, listening to the “Oldies” and gospel music. She was an animal lover.
Those surviving her in addition to her husband, George, are her sons, Roy Reed, John (Susan) Reed and Steven (Emma) Reed; her daughter, Debbie (Ken) Ganoe; her sister, Anna Caldwell; her grandchildren, Amber Flinchbaugh, Ashley Ganoe, Amanda Reed, Jason Reed, Brittnee Beer, Kelsy McAllister, JonEric Reed and Lindsay (Reed) Whisler; as well as her great grandchildren, BrantLee, Westlee, Ryan and Landry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Bulson, Jr. and her grandson, Cody M. Reed.
Her family will receive friends at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 10-11AM.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 11AM with Pastor Brian Smeal, of the Brookville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Vandervort Cemetery, Clover Twp., Jefferson County.
A luncheon will be held at the Brookville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 59 Stone Road, Brookville, PA. 1 ½ miles past Sheetz on 36 North after the funeral service.
Her family suggests memorial donation be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
