Marie W. Reeseman

Marie W. Reesman, 62, of Punxsutawney, died Wednesday evening, May 31, 2023 at her home following a period of declining health.

Born in Punxsutawney on December 4, 1960, she was the daughter of the late William and Shelma States Zimmerman.

On July 15, 2005 in Dayton she married Thomas G. Reesman. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2022.

She spent her life making a home for her family and enjoyed times spent with her children and grandchildren.

Her pastimes included camping, fishing, reading, doing crossword puzzles, crocheting and Dragon Flies.

Those surviving are her step mother, Hope Zimmerman; her son, Thomas W. Reesman; her daughters, Mable (Ricky Jr.) Elder, Rachel (Norman) Guyer and Randi (Tyler) Deitman; her brothers, Richard( Lynn Miller) Shupe, Paul (Shelley) Patrickand Mike (Laura) Patrick; her sister, April McClain; her honorary daughter, Celeste Gardner; and her grandchildren, Lilli Guyer, Koby and Kylanni Elder, Victoria Deitman, Landon Shaffer and Bonnie Bundy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step father, Paul Patrick, Sr.; her brother, William Zimmerman; and her sister, Tina McCracken.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, Pa. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Reesman.

There will be no services held at this time. Her family will hold a “Celebration of Life” at a later date to be announced.

Her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the funeral home.
