Marilyn “Snooks” Shoemaker, 79, of New Bethlehem, went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 17, 2025, while a resident at McKinley Health Center.
Born October 20, 1946, in Brookville, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Leah Copenhaver Brocious.
She was a high school graduate and a member of Springside Baptist Church in New Bethlehem.
On November 9, 1963, she married Jerry Shoemaker. They recently celebrated 62 years of marriage.
When not helping on the family dairy farm she volunteered at the local thrift shop in New Bethlehem.
In addition to her husband, Jerry, she is survived by her sons, Jerry (Linda) Shoemaker, Jr., David (Melissa) Shoemaker and Greg (Corey) Shoemaker; her daughter, Patricia (Mark) Rupp; her grandchildren, Connor James (Amanda), Nicholas (Abigail), Karlee (Tanner), Alexandra (Broc), Grant, Aubree and Rachel; her brother, Chet (Audrey) Brocious, Jr.; and her sister, Joyce Evans.
Those preceding her in death in addition to her parents, are her sister Shirley Rupp, and her brother-in-law Delbert Evans and son-in-law Mark Rupp.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. was entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Shoemaker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 13th, 2025, at 11AM at the Springside Baptist Church, 3504 State Rt 28-66 New Bethlehem PA 16242.
Interment will be at Squirrel Hill Cemetery, Clarion County.
Her family suggests memorial contributions be made in her memory to Springside Baptist Church, 3504 PA-28, New Bethlehem, PA. 16242.
