Martin E. Stivers III

Martin (Marty) E. Stivers III, 62, passed away in Punxsutawney, PA.

Marty was born in Encino, CA on September 28, 1963, to Martin and Zita Stivers II. The family moved from California to North Dakota in 1973.

Marty graduated in 1981 from Mandan High School, Mandan, ND. After high school, Marty enlisted and proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the Construction Battalion 40 (Seabees). After the Navy, Marty worked different jobs, but his favorite was being a long-haul truck driver, which he did for many years. Marty lived in North Dakota, California, Nevada, Idaho, and settled in Pennsylvania over 20 years ago.

He enjoyed golf, bowling and cooking.

Marty was preceded in death by his Mother, Zita Stivers, Maternal and Paternal Grandparents, Infant Grandson, Randy Stivers, and Uncles: Joseph Stivers and Joseph (Jack) Santangelo.

Marty is survived by his Father, Martin E. Stivers II (Lyn) - NV, his three wonderful Daughters: Krista Stivers - MN, Sienna Stivers (fiancé’ Cameron) - PA, and Karissa Bostic (Bryan) - NC, Sister, Heather Foster - NV, Niece, Brittney DePillo (Brian) - NV, Great Niece, Desta DePillo, Great Nephews: Caleb and James DePillo, Aunt, Sue Stivers, Cousins: James Stivers (Shelly), Teri Santangelo-Hunter (Rick), and Donna Santangelo (Guy).

Marty will be laid to rest in a Veteran’s cemetery in Pennsylvania.
