Mary L. Shepler

Mary L. Shepler, 79, of Punxsutawney, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at her home.  

Born February 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Vernis (Freas) Haag.

She enjoyed playing Scrabble and cards, watching game shows, and being with her dog, Riley.

Mary worked for many years at Clarion Hotel in DuBois.  She retired in 2018.

Her survivors include her daughter, Christine Lewis; her sons Harry Shepler (his companion Karen Frantz) and Loney (Lisa) Shepler; her sister, Grace Yohe; and three stepchildren, Nevin Salada, Lewis Salada, and Christine Morrow; as well as her 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  

Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Shepler; her second husband, Lewis Salada; her daughter Debra Fyock; and two brothers, Harry Haag and Henry Haag. 

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, Pa. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Shepler. 

There will be no services held at this time, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
