Michael Ratchford

Michael J. “Mike” Ratchford, 81, of Punxsutawney died Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Mulberry Healthcare following a decline in his health.

Born in Johnstown on May 31, 1942, he was the son of the late Leo Ratchford and Anne Spence.

He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed gardening.

His survivors include his brothers, Leo Ratchford and John Groman; his sisters, Martha Archer and Erma Poore; a special niece, Annette Town; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mamie Ritko.  

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Ratchford.

There will be no services held.

In lieu of flowers his family suggests memorial donations be made to Mulberry Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in his memory.

Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, Cambria County.
