Nancy A. Nimmo, 87, of Brookville passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Penn Highlands Brookville. She was affectionately known as “Gam Gam” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Born on March 31, 1938 in Dubois, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Jane Wilson Smith.
She was a 1956 graduate of Reynoldsville High School and attended Emerickville Church of God.
On June 15, 1963 at Reynoldsville Methodist Church she married Clifford “Bill” Nimmo. He survives.
She worked as an operator for Bell Telephone and then prior to retirement for over 20 years at Mike’s Comet.
Her pastimes included gardening, bird watching, baking, cooking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Bill, she is survived by her daughter, Amanda “Mandy”Collins, and son Dan Nimmo; her grandchildren, Ian, Paige, Keileigh and Chase; her great grandchildren, Gannon, Rowan and Rocco; her sisters, Cheryl (John) Lougee and Georgia (John) Carlson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by 2 infant brothers.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville was entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Nimmo.
Her family will plan a “Celebration of Life” for a later date.
