Nicholas F. “Nick” Sieber, 80, of Fairmont City, died as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 his beloved dog, Charlotte, also died in the accident.
Born October 24, 1943 in Green Lane, Montgomery County, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Caroline Zepp Sieber.
He attended school at both St. Phillip Neri Catholic School in East Greenville, PA. and Boyertown High School in Boyertown, PA.
He joined the U.S. Army in August 1961 and proudly and honorably served with the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell, KY.
On June 11, 1989 he married the former Elvira “Bug” Blose. She survives.
He worked as truck driver for 20 years out East and more recently as a mechanic and bus driver for Bowersox Bus Company for 35 years.
Nick attended the Living Church in Summerville, PA.
He was an animal lover, especially loved his goats and dog, Charlotte. He enjoyed gardening, taking walks with his wife, and of course most of the animals went along. Watching politics on TV was a favored pastime. He attended a “Tea Party” Convention and got to see former President Donald Trump.
In addition to his wife, “Bug”, his survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Sieber, Lisa (DJ) Mumau and Julie (Bob) Stockdill; his grandchildren, Quinn, Simon, Danae and Nina Minich, Desiree, Breanna and Madison Mumau, Michaela, Tanner, Rachel and Miles Stockdill; and great grandchildren, Rilee, Blaine and Brooklyn.
The last surviving member of his family, he was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sisters and their husbands, Marlene and Saul Erlech and Caroline and Jerry Guldin.
In accordance with Mr. Sieber’s wishes there will be no visitation.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10AM at The Living Church, Summerville, PA., Pastor David Shay, presiding.
Brookville Honor Guard will conduct a Military Honor Service prior to the service.
His family suggests memorial donations be made in his memory to either, Christ Dominion Academy , Summerville, PA or Orphans of the Storm, Kittanning, PA.
