R. Ray Ohl, 91, of Brookville died Friday evening, June 16, 2023 at Penn Highlands Hospital in Brookville.
Born on July 19, 1931 in Summerville, he was the son of the late George and Gladys Shields Ohl.
On June 4, 1952 in Cumberland, MD he married the former Kay Bish. She preceded her husband in death on July 5, 1993.
Mr. Ohl proudly and honorably served his country in the US Army, serving during the Korean War.
Prior to his retirement he worked as an electrician for Glen Gery/ Hanley Brick Plant.
He was a member of Summerville Presbyterian Church and the former Summerville VFW.
Surviving are his 3 daughters, Rae Lyn (Alan) Dobson, Cindy (James) Johnson and Tracy Loftin; his grandchildren, Tiffany (Carl) Maymi, Amber (Jason) Roof, Scott Loftin, Kendall Johnson and Alexandra Loftin; as well as 2 great grandchildren, Mireya and Nolan Maymi .
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister.
His family will receive friends on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the funeral home at 11AM with Rev. James Dietrich, officiating.
Graveside service will follow at Vandervort Cemetery, Clover TWP, Jefferson County. Military honors will be rendered by the Brookville Honor Guard.
