Renate Vranich

Renate E. Vranich,  age 80, of Brookville, formerly of East Chicago, IN , passed away on Wednesday July 4, 2018 at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

Renate was born on March 22, 1938 in Viernheim, Germany.  She was the daughter of the late Georg and Helene (Bergman) Mueller.  She married Daniel J. Vranich on May 12, 1972 in Indiana, he preceded her in death on December 17, 1996.  She was a housewife, and was of the Catholic Faith.

She is survived by three step-daughters, Denise "Roger" Miner of Brookville, Cathy Ford of Pittsburg, NH, Tammy Marciniak of Turner, ME; a brother-in-law, Roger "Penny" Deren of Dyer, IN; a sister, Elfriede "Gerd" Geiger of Germany; six grandchildren, Keith "Mari" Miner of Reynoldsville, Dale "Tessa" Miner of Brookville, William "Heather" Miner of Brookville, Aja "Kelly" Hunt of North Carolina, Tom Orzalak of Massachusetts, Melissa "Micheal" Vertino of Buffalo, NY; four nephews, Daniel Geiger and companion  Yvonne of Germany, Juergen "Gudrun" Lang of Germany, Roger "Heidi" Lang of Germany, Timothy "Rachel" Deren of Crown Point, IN, and a niece Nicole "Steve" Pochron of Dyer, IN.

Along with her parents and husband, Renate is preceded in death by a sister, Walburga Lang and her husband Dieter of Germany.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad Street, Summerville, PA.  Interment will follow be in the Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Schererville, IN.
