Richard C. “Dick” Mawn, 81, of Wilcox died Saturday, October 23, 2021 at UPMC Altoona following an extended illness.
Born on August 9, 1940 in Johnsonburg, he was the son of the late John and Viola Simbeck Mawn.
He was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School and was of the Catholic faith.
Dick retired from the paper mill as a pipefitter/ welder.
His pastimes included watching TV especially the TCM Channel.
Those surviving him are his four sons, Patrick (Stacy) Mawn, Shawn (Marcy Stalhi) Mawn, Scott (Glenda) Chamberlin and Richard Mawn, Jr.; two daughters, Mary Beth Silk and Breann Santaniello; his brother, Michael (Lori) Mawn; three sisters, Nora Moriarty, Linda (Ed) Malinky and Teresa (Joe) Steudler; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Mawn, Jr. and Joseph Mawn; and his lifelong companion, Valerie Santaniello.
All services for Mr. Mawn will be private and held by his family.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, Pa was entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Mawn.
