Ricky P. (Turkey) Buzard, 68, of Corsica, died late Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Penn Highlands Dubois following a brief illness.
Born in Clarion on May 14, 1956, he was the son of the late Paul and Lavinia Lewis Buzard.
Rick was a graduate of Brookville High School, he was a self employed carpenter and Real Estate Investor.
On January 28, 1981 in Shippenville, he married the former Sherry Smith. She survives.
He was a member of the F.O.E. #983 and Brookville FiremensClub.
His pastimes included hunting, fishing, playing poker, spending time with his family, and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Those surviving in addition to his wife, Sherry, are his sons, Ricky Buzard, Joshua (Amber) Buzard and Dustin Buzard; his grandchildren, Ava, Ashtyn, Calleigh, Brycen, Declan, Taylin and Paisley; his brothers, Stephen and Rodney”Joe” Buzard; his sisters, Vicki McDonald and Brenda Buzard; and his 1st great grandchild due in November.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Buzard.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Turkey.
A “Celebration of Life” has been scheduled for August 10th, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Summerville Firemen's park.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Vandervort Cemetery, Clover Township, Jefferson County.
His family suggests memorial donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
