Rita R. (Johns) Manning

Rita R. (Johns) Brock Manning, 76 of Summerville, passed away on Friday May 17, 2024 at her home following an extended illness. 

Born July 21, 1947 in Brookville, she was the daughter of the late Earl S. and Louise M. (Flack) Johns of Summerville. 

She was a 1966 graduate of Brookville High School. 

Prior to her retirement she worked at the Summerville Library, Truck Stop’s of America as a waitress, Summer Village Personal Care Home and Day’s Inn in the housekeeping department.

Rita's past times included baking, spending time with her loving family, and enjoying her Grand Kitties.

Those surviving are her daughter, Sherrie R. Brock of Summerville, as well as one sister Carol A. Johns of Summerville and one brother Sheldon D. Johns of New Bethlehem.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Karen L. (Johns) Reynolds of Brookville.

Her family will receive friends on Monday May 20, 2024 from 4-6PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad Street Summerville PA, 15864.

A funeral service will follow at 6PM with Pastor Randy Hall, officiating.

Interment will be in Windy Hill Cemetery.
