Robert Baird

Robert W. Baird, 90, of Marienville, died July 12, 2020 at Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

Born March 28, 1930, he was the son of the late Charles and Daisy Myers Baird.

Mr. Baird served as a 3rd class Aviation Structural Mechanic and earned a National Defense Service Ribbon in the U.S. Navy.

On January 10, 1969 in Lorain, OH he married the former Marcella P. Pesi. She preceded him in death on April 30, 2020.

During his working career he was employed by U.S. Steel and retired from Ford Motor Company in Lorain, OH.

His hobbies included engraving, and hunting and fishing.

Survivors of Mr. Baird include a son, Bruce and his wife, Rea Ann; and two daughters, Pam Hall and Marsha Wood; and a step daughter, Debra Gray; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one step grandchild and two step great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, others preceding him in death are a brother, Charles Baird; two sisters, Frieda Long and Gloria Baird; and a grandson, Todd Yourkvitch.

Services for Mr. Baird will be private.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry Street, Marienville, PA.
