Robert E Dobich

         Robert  "Dobe" E. Dobich, 75, of Clarington died Sunday, August 18, 2019 at his home following a long battle with Leukemia.

            Born April  9, 1944 in Aliquippa, Pa , he was the son of the late Andy and Margaret Krajec Dobich.

            He was a 1964 graduate of Aliquippa High School. From 1964 until 1972, Mr. Dobich was a loader for J & L Steel . He joined the Aliquippa  Police department in 1972.  In 1974, he graduated from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy and stayed on the Aliquippa Police department; retiring as a Sergeant  on October 31, 1997 . He was also employed as a part time mechanic at Junak Auto repair. In 2001, he became the head of security for the Gateway Lodge & Clarion River Lodge.

            His hobbies and interests include auto mechanic work; and hunting and fishing, especially with his two best friends Joe Junak and George Campbell. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America Local 1211, Laborers Local 833 Union, and Aliquippa-Hopewell F.O.P. Lodge #26.

            He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila; to whom he was married on January 11, 2013. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Monique Bolling of Pittsburgh, PA and Jamie and her husband, Monty Snair, of Punxsutawney, PA; two granddaughters, Dawn Marie and Alexis Lynn; numerous  nieces and nephews; and best friends, Danny, Joey, Janice, and Anthony.

            In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers , William(Bill), Donald(Bud), and Rudolph(Bo) and one sister, Lillian Lee Bon.

            At Mr. Dobich's request there will be no visitation or funeral service . Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home , 140 Cherry Street, Marienville, PA.
