Robert E. “Bob” Kinnan, Sr., 74, of Glen Campbell, died Monday evening, September 27, 2021 at Indiana Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born in Indiana on September 29, 1946, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary Stormer Kinnan.
Bob proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Sharpshooter Badge and Purple Heart for his valor and honorable service.
Prior to his retirement he was employed by Mears Enterprises, owner/operator of Kinnan Sporting Goods and was a pleasure farmer.
He enjoyed racing and working on the farm.
Those surviving are his sons, Robert (Rob) E. Kinnan, Jr. and his wife, Shelby, Richard (Rick) Kinnan and Ruston (Rusty) Kinnan; his three grandchildren; his sisters, Janet Constantine, Sally Lang, Jean MacBlain, and Alice Ruffner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rockford (Rocky) Kinnan; brothers, William Kinnan and Dean Fee; and his sister, Mildred (Snooky) McAdams.
His family will receive friends Friday, October 1, 2021 from 3-6PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, Pa. A Military Honor Guard Service will be held at 5:30PM.
Interment will be in Laurel Swap Cemetery, Indiana, Pa.
