Robert Lelon McLaughlin

Robert Lelon "Lee" McLaughlin, age 72, of Brookville, PA passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Penn Highlands in DuBois, PA.

Lee was born on March 26, 1946 in Brookville, PA.  He was the son of the late Henry Alvin and Ruby Maxine (Humphrey) McLaughlin.  Lee was a 1964 graduate of Brookville Area High School.  He attended Indiana State College.  He served in the US Army on active duty from 1965 - 1967, then in the reserves until his discharge in 1971.  He was married to Judy F. Chillcott on February 5, 1966 in the Summerville United Methodist Church, she survives in Brookville.  Lee was a self employed contractor for over forty years.  He was of the Methodist Faith.  Lee was an outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish.

Along with his wife, Lee is survived by a son, Robert J. and wife Lori McLaughlin of Brookville; a brother, Ellis "Bud" and wife Linda McLaughlin of Hazen; a sister, Agnes Eshelman of Pittsburgh; and two grandchildren, Johnathan and Jacob, both of Brookville.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, York McLaughlin.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday September 22, 2018 from 10am - 12pm at the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad Street, Summerville, PA.  A Funeral Service will immediately follow with Rev. Saxman officiating. 

The family suggests memorials be made to the Summerville Veterans Memorial Fund, 255 Heathville Road, Summerville, PA 15864 or the American Diabetes  Foundation.
