Robert “Scott” Haines Obituary

Robert “Scott” Haines, 64, of New Bethlehem passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025, at UPMC Seneca.

Born October 28, 1961, in Brookville, he was the son of the late Glenn Haines and Loretta Dwyer Haines Himes.

He was a 1979 graduate of Redbank Valley High School.

Prior to retirement he had been employed by Rich’s Outdoor World for many years.

He was the lighting and sound technician for the band Simon Sez.

He was of Catholic faith and was a member of the New Bethlehem Moose, Eagles and Vets Club.

His pastimes included fishing, hunting, Trivia, Redbank High School sports, Facebook and a passion for raising chickens.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his brothers, Glenn (Crystal) Haines and Tom (Andrea) Haines; his sisters, Fran (Mark) Sanford and Tammy Haines; as well as his nieces and nephews, Kasey, Ty, Cal, Jessica, Braydon and Delaney.

His father preceded him in death.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville PA. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Haines.

A Private Service will be held for his family.

Interment will be at Mt. Zion Beautiful Lookout Cemetery, New Bethlehem.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in his memory to Redbank Sports Boosters.
