Ronald T. “Ron” Miller, Sr., 82, of Brookville died Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at his home following an illness.
Born on November 2, 1941 in Knoxdale, he was the son of the late William J. and Mildred Knabb Miller.
He was a graduate of Brookville Area High School and a member of Knoxdale United Methodist Church.
On August 5, 1989 in Knoxdale he married the former Brenda Jean Matson. She survives.
Prior to his retirement in 1990 he was employed as a Machinist/Fabricator for Miller Welding and Machine Company.
He was a member of the Brookville F.O.E. and Brookville Pool League (Eagles A Team) .
He enjoyed cutting and splitting firewood, tinkering and home fabricating, sitting on his front porch, dirt track racing, animals and nature and country dancing in the past.
Those surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Ronald T. (Tracy) Miller; his daughter, Linda Ciambotti; his stepsons, Eric and Brian Bowser; his step daughters, Audrey (Mike) Snyder and Rebecca Heitzenrater; his brother, Dave R. Miller; his sister Janet Akerly; his 17 grandchildren; his numerous great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife, Sandra Brauna Miller; his brothers, William, Joseph, Robert and Lawrence Miller; his sisters, Hope Spangler, Virginia Darr, Anna Thompson and Marilyn Siar; and his cat, Beanie.
A visitation will be held on Saturday December 2, 2023 from 11AM-1PM at Knoxdale United Methodist Church.
A Private Funeral Service will be held at 1PM for the family at the Knoxdale United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Coates, officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Knoxdale, Jefferson County.
