Rosamond E. “Rose” Wilson. 89 of Corsica passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, while at Jefferson Manor surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on January 16, 1937, in Walkerville, MI, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Irene Woodward Routley.
She was a graduate of Walkerville High School and of Christian faith.
On October 8, 1955, in Baxter she married Charles E. Wilson; he preceded her in death on January 25, 2023.
At the age of 81 she retired, having worked as a Personal Care and Private Duty Nurse at different nursing homes in the area and a a restoration consultant for Goodwill Industries at Reynoldsville Rest Areas.
Her survivors include her son, George (Judy) Wilson; her daughters, Suzanne Wilson, Melissa (Jimmy) Bosley, Sheila (Gary King) Gula and Charlotte (Anthony) Chicola; her grandchildren, Walter Geer, Geoffrey Wilson, Stephen Stiller, Jamie Bosley, Kyle Wilson, Rebecca Johnson, Aimee Silva, Andrea Hutson, Megan Walk and Abigail Gula; her 17 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; her brother, Roy Routley; and her sister, Lora (Jim) Green.
Those who preceded her in death in addition to her parents and husband are her great grandchild, Zennabelle Silva; her son-in-law, Carl Reed, Jr., her brothers, Niley Routley, Thomas Routley, Robert Routley, William Routley, George Routley and Samuel Routley; and her sisters, Ruth Gaultney, Ruby Bliss and Dolly Routley.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 2-4 &6-8PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.
An additional hour of visiting will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10-11AM at the funeral home with a funeral service to immediately follow at 11AM Pastor Rick Kaizer, officiating.
Interment will be at Jefferson Cemetery, Clover TWP., Jefferson County.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
