Samuel Harmon, Jr., 85, died Sunday, June 2, 2024 at his home in Reynoldsville following an illness.
Born on February 22, 1939 in Reynoldsville, he was the son of the late Samuel and Jesse Deemer Harmon, Sr.
He was a graduate of Reynoldsville High School.
On April 25, 1959 at Reynoldsville Presbyterian Church he married the former Elizabeth Durnell. She survives.
Prior to his retirement in 2010 he was a self employed truck driver.
His memberships included the NRA and the Teamsters Union.
He enjoyed working in his garage, tractors, gardening and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, he is also survived by his son, Mark (Elise) Harmon; his daughter, Lisa (Benny) Fitzsimmons; his grandchildren, Danielle (Steve) Skinner, Melissa (Robert) Rezk and Mandy (Mike) Mowrey; his great grandchildren, Alissa and Kodee Frantz and Madeline Sines; his brothers, John Harmon, Sr.; his sisters, Paulette Hayes and Melva Cairnes; and special nephew, Ben Hayes and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Harmon.
There will be no services held.
