Obituary
Sarah J. Anderson, 90, of Tylersburg, died Wednesday, November 16, 2022 while a resident at Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Snydersburg on November 10, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Augusta “Gus” and Dora Schmader Wolbert.
She attended St. Joseph School in Lucinda and was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Tionesta.
On September 10, 1976 at Lake Lucy she married Serrill Anderson. He preceded her on July 1, 2008.
After over 30 years of employment she retired from O-I in Clarion.
Her pastimes included traveling and making crafts and she was a former member of the Clarion American Legion.
Those surviving are her son, Norman (Judy) Wolbert; her daughter, Ruth Ann Vantassel; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Clyde Henry; her stepson, Rickie Anderson; her brothers, Bus, Tim, Skipper and Bob Wolbert; and her sisters, Evelyn Fitzgerald and Patricia Baumcratz.
Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St., Marienville, PA has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Anderson.
There will be no services held.
Interment will be at Washington Cemetery, Tionesta, Clarion County.
