Sarah Whiteman Bills

Sarah W. Bills, 87, of Clarion, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026 at McKinley Health Center. Born April 16, 1938 in Summerville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Smith Whiteman. She was a graduate of Summerville High School and was of Methodist faith. On September 21, 1960 in Winchester, VA., she married Richard Bills. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2021. She enjoyed tending her flower and vegetable garden, was an avid reader, listening to country music and spending time with her family. Her survivors include her son, Steven (Penny) Bills; her daughter, Tracy (Amber) Bills; her granddaughter, Stephanie Bills; her brother, Junior Frank Whiteman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Whiteman; and her sisters, Mary Puncheon and Shirley Whiteman. All services were held privately for her family. Interment was in St. John/ Windyhill Cemetery, Corsica, Jefferson County.
