MSgt Shawn Michael Snow born October 14, 1973 to Judith (Snyder) Snow and Lawrence Snow, joined his family and friends in heaven on May 13, 2021.
Shawn was a loyal husband, dedicated father, avid storyteller with the best Dad jokes, and friend to everyone he met.
He served in the Air Force for 25 years and had a long fulfilling career with the Federal Aviation Association. He was humble about his sacrifice and service. Waking up everyday to a supportive team at his job was something he never took for granted.
Shawn and his wife Karen (Webster) Snow were married just shy of 20 years. They were a power couple, always more in love each day after the last. They took great joy hosting family and friends for holidays and cookouts. The greatest of their accomplishments together are their two sons: Ryan Snow (30) and Jake Snow (18).
Shawn’s memory will be cherished by sister Michelle (Snow) Walker and brother in law Steven Walker, as well as Phyllis Parkinson Snow, Larry’s wife. He is fondly remembered by friends Rick Zimmerman, Greg Scholl, Steve Wilson, Gary Gouchie and Tom Palowich.
Karen provided hospice care around the clock with help from sister, Diane Webster, best friend, Kara Karaoguz, her sons Ryan and Jake, and help from the mom’s, Judy and Bessie, who were there til the end. The magical and nurturing culinary skills of Ryan’s partner ChungSil Gwon need to be mentioned. The nursing skills of Gracie and Frankie Snow, the English Labs, brought a smile to Shawn everyday.
Shawn fought a four year battle with colon cancer that metastasized. He pursued the dream of buying land, but unfortunately the rest of the dream never was fulfilled as his time was cut all too short. In honor of him, we are making it come true.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the Go Fund Me Memorial Garden.
