Stephen M. Oswald III

Stephen M. Oswald, III, 70,  died Saturday, August 10, 2024 while at Snyder Memorial Home in Marienville, PA.

Born on May 30, 1954 in Easton, PA. , he was the son of the late Stephen M. Oswald, Jr. and Ida Hower Oswald.

He was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School and was of Protestant faith.

Prior to his retirement he worked in the oil fields in Oklahoma and in construction.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

His survivors include his daughter, Jamie Caton; his brother, David Barbieb; his sisters, Barbara (Robert) Riehl, Carol (Jeff) Jordan and Mary Ann Erdmann; his sister in law, Kathi Oswald; his grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Brooke, Caton and Hunter; as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Ronald. 

Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St., Marienville, PA has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Oswald.

There will be no services held.

A private burial will take place at Middle Creek Christian Church Cemetery, Kresgeville, PA.
