Susan Smith

Susan L. Smith, 61, of Summerville, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Penn Highlands Dubois.

Born November 16, 1964 in Sumter, S.C., she was the daughter of William and Nancy List Harding.

She was a 1983 graduate of Brookville Area High School.

On July 1, 1989 in Brookville she married William H. Smith. He survives.

After 31 years of service she retired from Jefferson Manor. She began a 2nd career at Arby’s, where she was employed at the time of her death.

Her pastimes included doing word search puzzles, playing Solitaire and knitting.

Those surviving in addition to her husband, Bill; are her son, Zachary Smith; and her daughter, KaDee (Scott) Fidler; as well as her brother, Richard Harding.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Her family will receive friends from 11AM-1PM on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.

Interment will be in Brookville Cemetery, Brookville, Jefferson County.

Her family suggests memorial donations be made in her memory to Make a Wish.
