Suzanne Shiock

Suzanne Shiock, 85, of Punxsutawney, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 while at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney.

Born on April 25, 1938 in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of the late Clint and Helen Lloyd Bish.

She was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School.

On July 25, 1957 in Adrian, PA. she married Thomas Shiock, Sr.. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2012.

Prior to retiring she had been employed at Pramco ,BloseMcGregor Nursing Home and House of Gifts. 

Her pastimes included horseback riding, playing Bingo, caring for her Dachshunds, quilting, crocheting and reading.

She was a member of McCalmont Township Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Those surviving are her sons, Thomas (Bonnie) Shiock, Jr., Michael Shiock and David (Cindy) Shiock; her sister, Charlene Skarbek; her brother-in-law, John Haag; her 5 grandchildren, Kelsey Allgeier, Rebecca Shiock, Jacob (Sara) Shiock, Luke (Brooke Stello) Shiock and Kirk (Brandy) Brudnock; her 3 great grandchildren, Alexander Allgeier, Trent Shiock and Mackenzie Brudnock; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant sons, sister, Donna Haag; brother-in-law, John Skarbek and grandson, Shane Brudnock.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA.  has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mrs. Shiock.

As per her wishes there will be no public services. A privatememorial service will be held for her family.

Interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney, Jefferson County.
