Teresa L. Crissman

    Teresa Lynne Caro Crissman, 58, of Corsica, PA was called home to be with her son on July 3, 2023 after a brief and sudden illness. 

    Teresa was born on December 3, 1964 to the late Robert Caro (Connie Caro) and Sharon Davis, both of Brookville, PA. She loved them deeply and will always be their always.

    Teresa spent her youth with her favorite “little” brother, Ronald Caro (Sherry Caro) of Brookville, PA. When she wasn’t picking on him, she enjoyed spending time with her cousins. One memory being, riding in her dad’s Scout with her cousin Tracie Crawshaw (Sheila Noles) of Tallahassee, FL, singing Boston songs at the top of their lungs. 

    Teresa was a graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School Class of 1982. After graduation, she worked to become the manager of Clarion’s Kmart. This was a job that took her to places such as Pittsburgh and West Virginia. Even though she loved this job, Teresa loved getting to become a mom more. 

    Teresa was the mom to three children Amber Greeley (TJ Greeley), Kalah Peace (Randy Peace), both of Corsica, PA, and the late Brady Crissman. She was also known as “Mother Teresa” to dozens of others. No matter what life brought her way, she always was there with a witty remark, a little bit of sarcasm, and a shoulder to lean on. 

    Later on in her life, Teresa worked her way up the ladder at the Keystone Shortway Truck Stop. Through her many years with the company, she made several memories and lasting friendships working there. She told her family many of these stories right up until her passing. 

    More than anything else in this life, Teresa loved being a grandma. While she loved her children with all of her heart, she would say her grandchildren were her heartbeats. Her grandchildren; Abigail (AbbyDabby) Knapp-Greeley, Madison (Maddygirl) Greeley, Gracie (Gracie Bug) Peace, Anabella (Banana Bean) Peace, Emmaleigh (Meme Lou) Peace, and Maverick (Bubba Man) Peace meant the world to her and she will always “love them more than all the fishies in the ocean, stars in the sky, she will love them forever until pigs learn to fly.” Whether it was singing them Girl Scout songs she learned as a kid, baking with them, reading them stories, passing on her traditions, or giving them life advice, she was always there for them.

 Per Teresa’s request, there will be no funeral services. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 6PM at Strattanville Firehall.

    To her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends that became family, and anyone who had the privilege of knowing her; remember her the next time you’re sailing with the Captain and know that she loved you to the moon and back times a billion forever and ever, amen.
