Twila B. Edmonds, 85, of Mayport, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026 while at Clarion Hospital.
Born on April 15, 1940 in New Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Mary Anthony Hepler.
She was a graduate of Redbank School and was a member ofCottage Hill Wesleyan Methodist Church.
On September 11, 1960 at Cottage Hill Church she married Ruben Edmonds. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2018.
Her pastimes included spending time with her family, gardening, canning and baking. She and her great grandchildren were planning the garden for 2026.
Those surviving are her sons, John Edmonds and James (Melissa) Edmonds: her daughters, Shelly (Ronald) Geist, Karen (Tim) Harris and Linda (Jerry) Shoemaker: her 8 grandchildren, Ronald, Tonya, Heather, Dylan, Rachel, Drake, Landon and Griffin; her 5 great grandchildren, Olivia, Lennon, Luca, Haydon and Kaedy: her brother, Guy Hepler; as well as her sister, Jewel Shirey.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death her daughter, Carla McAfoos; her daughter-in-law, Valerie Edmonds; her brothers, Merle and Calvin Hepler; and her sisters, Jane Brocious, Dorothy McNaughton, Janet Eckard, Joanne Richey and infant, Cathy Hepler.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. from 5-7PM.
An additional hour of visiting will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 10-11AM at Cottage Hill Wesleyan Methodist Church, 21 Champion Rd, New Bethlehem, PA. 16242.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 11AM with Rev’s Gabriel and D.R. Clyde, presiding.
Interment will follow at Cedarview Cemetery, Strattanville, Clarion County.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Cottage Hill Wesleyan Methodist Church, 21 Champion Rd., NewBethlehem, PA. 16242. (Please note Building Fund in memo line).
