Wanda C. Hilyer

Wanda C. Hilyer, 73, of Marienville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 13, 2026.

Born in Kane on July 26, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Dorothy Swonger Hilyer.

She was a graduate of East Forest High School and attended Marienville area churches.

Prior to her retirement she was employed as a secretary for the Magistrate of Court, after her retirement she began a 2ND career as Chaplin for the local nursing home.

Her pastimes included hunting, fishing and gardening. She LOVED her pets and all of nature. Her greatest JOY was visiting and ministering to people.

Those surviving are her brothers, William ”Nick” and Fredrick Hilyer; and her sisters, Dorothy “Faith’ Caputti and Carol Hilyer.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel, Daniel and Stephen Hilyer.

Her family will receive friends on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 10-11AM at Marienville Presbyterian Church. 

A funeral service will follow at 11AM at the church with Rev. Boyd Edmondson, officiating.

Interment will be at North Forest Cemetery, Jenks TWP., ForestCounty.
