William Lucas Jr. Obituary

William W. “Bill” Lucas, Jr., 59, of Mayport, died the evening of Sunday, October 31, 2021 at his home following a brief illness.

Born in Brookville on June 26, 1962, he was the son of William W. Lucas, Sr. and the late Francis Komonczi Magill.

He was a 1981 graduate of Brookville High School.

Prior to his illness he was employed by G and C Coal Lab.

On December 14, 1984 at Middle Run Church of God he married the former Betty Troup. She survives.

His pastimes included hunting, fishing and spending time with his granddaughter.

In addition to his father, William, his wife, Betty, he is survived by his step mother, Pat; his son Charles Lucas; his daughter, Beth (Ricky) Over; his brother, Doug Lucas; his sisters, Sherry Brown, Kimberely Winters and DeAnna Lucas; and his granddaughter, Cessa Over.

Those preceding him in death in addition to his mother, Francis are his brother, Charles Lucas.

As per his wishes there will be no public services held.

Interment will be in the Dry Ridge Cemetery, Redbank Twp., Armstrong County.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA was entrusted with final arrangements for Mr. Lucas.
