William L. “Bill” Ramsey, Jr., 57, of Brookville, died Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Brookville Hospital.
Born in Brookville on June 28, 1967, he was the son of the late William L. Ramsey, Sr. and Bertha Arnold Ramsey.
He was a 1986 graduate of Brookville High School and Jeff Tech, upon completion of high school he attended and graduated from lumber grading school in Tennessee.
On August 22, 1987 in Roseville, PA. , he married the former Chris Mathers. She survives.
After graduation from lumber grading school he began his career at Matson Lumber, he then worked for Miller Welding before transitioning to MPP in Falls Creek where he worked as a machinist.
His pastimes included hunting, fishing, shooting archery, riding motorcycles, watching movies and he LOVED to joke around.
Those surviving include his wife, Chris; are his son, William L. ”Jake” Ramsey, III; his daughter, Samantha D. Ramsey; his sister, Lisa (John) Cole; as well as his nieces and nephews, Lacy, Nicole, Michael, Jr. and Shawn.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Reed.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Ramsey.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held in his memory on Saturday, January 11, 2025 beginning at 4PM at the Bear Claw Sports Bar, 10842 US-322, Reynoldsville, PA. 15851.
Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
