William Reinard

William I. “Bill” Reinard, 79, of Knoxdale, died Thursday, December 30, 2021 at his home after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.

Born March 12, 1942 in Brookville, he was the son of the late Henry and Ruth Chapman Reinard. He was a graduate of Brookville High School. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Bible Church of Summerville, a charter member and fire chief for 13 years of Knox Township Volunteer Fire Company of Jefferson County, and a member of the men’s league at White Oaks Golf Course.

On November 25,1961 in Smicksburg, he married the former Judy Bailey and she survives.

Prior to his retirement in August of 1997, he was employed as an equipment operator for National Fuel Gas for over 33 years. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, hunting, running a backhoe, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Those surviving in addition to his wife, Judy, are his sons, Barry (Vicki) Reinard of Brookville and Kevin (Robbin) Reinard of Brookville; his daughters, Barb Reinard of Homer City and Kerri (Gerry) Bruce of Princeton, Texas; his brother, Howard (Phyllis) Reinard of Brookville; his sister, Donna Hetrick of Madison, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Helen Reinard of Brookville; as well as his 6 grandchildren, Lainey (Michael) Fritz, Bailey Reinard, Samantha (Bobby) McGranor, Espy Reinard, Zach (Rebecca) Bruce, and Kaylie Bruce; his 3 great-grandchildren, Bethany Fritz, Cooper and Waylen McGranor; and his furry friend, Roxy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald, Max, Harry, John, and Roy Lee; his brother-in-law, Ralph Hetrick; his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Reinard Geer, Dorothy Reinard, and Sylvia Reinard.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA was entrusted with final arrangements for Mr. Reinard.

A private memorial service will be held for his family at Pleasant Hill Bible Church.

Interment will be at Center Hill Cemetery, Knoxdale, Jefferson County. Memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Bible Church, 3629 Sandy Flat Rd., Summerville, PA 15864.
